A new year<\/a> is finally here\u2014which means all of the \u201cbest of\u201d lists for 2024 are in full swing. One that we\u2019re most interested in comes from Nameberry<\/a>, which calculated the most popular baby names of 2024<\/a> (based on how many “hearts” each name receives on the website). Whether parents actually named their children these monikers in 2024\u2014or 2025\u2014is another matter (be on the lookout for the Social Security Administration\u2019s list<\/a> in May 2025 for the official tally).<\/p>\n

The following 200 names are those that new and expecting parents are placing on their “favorites” list\u2014and we believe it serves as a sneak peek into the baby name trends 2025 will carry forth. This year\u2019s Top 10 list had a number of traditional names\u2014Charlotte<\/strong> and Amelia<\/strong> for girls, and Theodore<\/strong>, Oliver<\/strong>, Henry<\/strong>, and James<\/strong> for boys\u2014that are also within the current Top Baby Names in the USA<\/a>, showing that the overall “classic” name trend is still going strong.<\/p>\n

Other “evergreen classics,” “biblical,” “traveling lite,” and “fresh nature names” noted within the Top 200 this year include Lucy<\/strong>, Luna<\/strong>, Nora<\/strong>, Willow<\/strong>, and Ivy<\/strong> for girls and William<\/strong>, Silas<\/strong>, Ezra<\/strong>, Kai<\/strong>, Leo<\/strong>, and Rowan<\/strong> for boys.<\/p>\n

More obscure monikers<\/a> beloved by the Nameberry audience include Daphne<\/strong>, Arden<\/strong>, Beatrix<\/strong>, Wren<\/strong>, Cordelia<\/strong>, Elowen<\/strong>, Imogen<\/strong>, Elodie<\/strong>, Aurelia<\/strong>, Clementine<\/strong>, Evangeline<\/strong>, Mabel<\/strong>, Jane<\/strong>, Sage<\/strong>, and Juniper<\/strong> for girls. For boys, trendier options include August<\/strong>, Soren<\/strong>, Casper<\/strong>, Florian<\/strong>, Kit<\/strong>, “-o” names like Milo <\/strong>and Arlo<\/strong>, and old-school “ancient” names like Evander<\/strong>, Cyrus<\/strong>, and Cassian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
